TPU physicists propose numerical model for airflow and heat exchange in new generation heating systems

Scientists at Tomsk Polytechnic University have developed a hybrid mathematical model of turbulent heat and mass transfer. This model exhibits a fourfold increase in processing speed compared with traditional numerical methods and has been designed to analyze complex irregular flows in both open and closed systems. The TPU's novel approach possesses the potential to serve as a foundational framework for the development of energy-efficient heating systems, intelligent indoor climate control systems, and real-time monitoring systems that facilitate the prediction of the propagation of hazardous substances in emergency scenarios.
