17 September, Tomsk will host the VI International Congress on Energy Fluxes аnd Radiation Effects (EFRE-2018) organized by Tomsk Polytechnic University, Institute of High Current Electronics SB RAS, and Tomsk Scientific Center SB RAS.
For the first time, this congress was held in Tomsk in 2000. In the framework of EFRE, there are three internationally renown scientific forums: International Symposium on High-Current Electronics, International Conference on Modification of Materials by Charged Particle Beams and Plasma Flows, and International Conference on Radiation Physics and Condensed Matter Chemistry.
In the scope of these conferences, researchers will discuss current scientific and technological problems in the area of pulsed energy, the physics of beams of charged particles and powerful microwaves, fundamental principles of interaction of particle beams and photon beams with matter, physical principles of technology in the field of materials modification, chemistry, biology and medicine, based on the application of particle flows and radiations.
This year the congress has been expanded and inсluded a new conference, related tо popular topic, International Conference on New Materials and High Technologies. Its participants will present new technologies, mostly related to 3D printing, nitrogen ceramics, functional materials and coatings, and the use of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. In addition, within the scope of the congress, there will be a workshop for young scientists and specialists with internationally renowned scientists as lecturers.
The forum is expected to visit 600 leading and young scientists, students and PhD students (including 100 international and more than 200 nonresident ones) from more than 50 leading national and international organizations.
It is worth noting, in 2018 for the first time the International Symposium on High-Current Electronics received the support of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers society. This internationally recognized organization includes more than 400 thousand members from 170 countries around the world. It is the world leader in the development of standards in radioelectronics, electrical engineering and hardware support of computer systems and networks.
