International Olympiad "Your First Success 2021"

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University invites applicants to take part in the international Olympiad "Your First Success 2021".

Olympiad starts on February 04, 2021. The Olympiad ends on May 28, 2021.

Tomsk Polytechnic University is the second technical University in Russia, where students study from 37 countries. TPU offers more than 60 areas of training for foreign students in bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as preparing in pre-university training programs at the Preparatory Department.

The Olympiad is held at Tomsk Polytechnic University since 2015.

The winners of the Olympiad are the participants who will receive the maximum number of points among all participants (but not less than 70 points). An important feature of participation in the Olympiad is that the winners of the Olympiad receive a 20-50% tuition discount.  The discount shall be provided per one academic year of training at the TPU Preparatory Department or in the bachelor’s/master’s degree program.

The Olympiad for learners and graduates from schools planning to study in undergraduate studies is held in the following areas:

  • Engineering Sciences (Physics, Nuclear Physics and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Instrument Making, Optical Engineering, Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, Heat and Power Engineering and Heat Engineering, Oil and Gas Business, Materials Science and Materials Technology, Mechatronics and Robotics);
  • Natural Sciences (Chemical Technology, Biotechnology);
  • IT-technologies (Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering).

The Olympiad for graduates from higher educational institutions planning to study in a magistracy (a postgraduate school) is held in the following areas:

  • Engineering Sciences (Physics, Nuclear Physics and Technology, Geology, Power Engineering, Instrument Making, Optical Engineering, Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, Heat and Power Engineering, Oil and Gas Business, Materials Science and Materials Technology, Mechatronics and Robotics)
  • Natural Sciences (Chemical Technology, Biotechnology);
  • IT-technologies (Computer Science and Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies).
