Over 100 international students from Tomsk, Vladivostok, Naples and China come to the All-Russia conference at TPU

Tomsk Polytechnic University hosts the 8th All-Russia Conference Scientific Initiative of International Students and PhD Students of Russian Universities.   It brings together 130 participants who will deliver reports on various scientific topics.


The conference is held on 16-18 May 2018. It is organized by the Division of Russian Language of TPU School of Core Engineering Education and the Quatorium Children’s Technopark.

The conference is opened on 16 May, at 14:00-14:30, 507 lecture room, 19th Building (4a Usova St.).

‘We received 130 applications from international undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, and early-career scientists for full-time and correspondence participation in the conference.

Besides TPU international students, representatives of other Tomsk universities, as well as students from Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Tula, Ufa, University of Naples “L'Orientale” (Italy), Jilin University (China), the Zhejiang Institute of Foreign Languages (China) will take part in the conference,’

says the Head of the Division of Russian Language Evgeniya Sherina.

The main sections of the conference are social sciences and humanities, natural sciences (including biomedical science), engineering sciences, linguistics and literature studies. An All-Russia round table of international students and PhD students The Generation 2018: Do International Students Choose Russian? is scheduled in the agenda of the conference.

‘All reports will be delivered in Russian. The jury will evaluate the topic, presentation and Russian language proficiency. On the results of the conference the best reports will be awarded with diplomas.  For the first time, the Quantorium Children’s Technopark will take part in the conference.  It will host the section Relevant Issues of Engineering Sciences: Modern Engineering and Technology. Students planning to continue their study on master programs and PhD studies will participate in the section.  They will discuss the issues of alternative energy,’ - adds Evgeniya Sherina.
