On 19-20 November 2018, the 4th Congress of Siberian Engineers is held at Tomsk Polytechnic University. The Congress will be devoted to the design of a Siberian roadmap NTI TekhnetSibir and its discussion. Representatives of ministries, regional authorities, academic and university science, industrialists will jointly elaborate the program for the technological development of Siberia for the next four years.
On 19 November, at 11 am the Congress will be opened by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District (SFD) Sergey Menyaylo and the Governor of the Tomsk Oblast Sergey Zhvachkin. Representatives of federal ministries and departments, the Administration of the Tomsk Oblast, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, universities, industry unions, and enterprises will take part in the large-scale agenda.
According to the organizers, the participants of the Congress are tasked to design mechanisms for involving Siberian regions and industrial enterprises in SFD in the roadmaps of the science and technology development of Russia. At the federal level, such programs were formed for the country’s development as the Strategy of Science and Development of Russia (SSTD), National Technology Initiative (NTI), Digital Economy of Russia and others. The issues of synchronic actions of SFD regions on the organization of production of products and services for NTI markets and the introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies, as well the formation of new opportunities for technological companies in Siberia including the mechanism for involving companies in the activities of corporations will also be discussed at the Congress.
At 11.45 am, a visionary lecture Digital Transformation of Production will be held by Aleksey Borovkov, a co-leader of the TechNet working group of NTI, Vice-Rector for Promising Projects at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, a Russian scientist in computational mechanics and computer engineering at the TPU International Culture Center.
At 13.30, a plenary meeting National Technology Initiative: state, challenges, prospects (jointly with the Committee of Education and Science of the State Duma of the Russian Federation) will start at the Assembly Hall of the TPU Main Building.
At 13.30, the roundtable The Integration of TechNet-Sibir, the innovation development program of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and NTI for the RF technological development is scheduled at the TPU Exhibition Center.
At 16.00 – 18.00 a roundtable Programs and Tools for Involving Industrial Enterprises of SFD in NTI (the Assembly Hall of the TPU Main Building) will be devoted to the experience of the program Reindustrialization of Economy in the Novosibirsk Oblast and the opportunity of deploying the program in other SFD regions.
