A meeting of the Uzbek delegation headed by the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Yusup Kabulzhanov with students of Tomsk was held at Tomsk Polytechnic University. During the visit, the guests answered the urgent questions of the citizens of Uzbekistan who study at universities of Tomsk and suggested them to unite and organize a large-scale national holiday devoted to national Uzbek traditions for all the students of the city.
Students from Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk State University, Siberian State Medical University, and TUSUR University participated in the meeting. They asked the delegation on job opportunities in Uzbekistan after graduation from the universities, as well as temporary registration and healthcare in Tomsk Oblast.
The Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Yusup Kabulzhanov noted:
‘Many students from Uzbekistan study at Tomsk universities. It is very important for us that after the graduation they apply the gained professional knowledge in their home country at the highest level, show themselves as worthy specialists in their work.
We are interested in that our citizens studying in Tomsk will get qualitative education, and the academic process will be as much comfortable and safe for them as possible. Therefore, we came to meet them, listen to them, give answers to pressing issues, help and support.’
The Consul General also suggested students to combine their efforts and ideas and jointly organize a large-scale holiday in Tomsk dedicated to the traditions of Uzbekistan.
‘Uzbekistan is famous for its excellent customs and traditions - you have something to be proud of and share with other students of Tomsk. It will be great if at the end of March you organize the Week of Uzbekistan - a week of events dedicated to the wonderful spring holiday of Navruz, national culture, cuisine, songs, and dances,’
