Tomsk Polytechnic University will host the 14th International Forum on Strategic Technology (IFOST 2019) which is one of the largest events on innovative technology and advanced engineering solutions. Representatives of science and industry from different countries traditionally meet here to discuss strategic technologies for the development of various areas of production. The forum will be held from 14 to 17 October 2019. The registration and call for papers have been announced. More information is available at the forum website.
IFOST is a technical forum for research engineers from all over the world, which has been held annually since 2006. It is a successor of the Korean-Russian Symposium on Science and Technology (KORUS) which was established in 1994 by three universities: the University of Ulsan (South Korea), Tomsk Polytechnic University, and Novosibirsk State Technical University.
TPU hosted IFOST in 2012. That time the forum gathered participants from China, South Korea, Mongolia, Indonesia, and other countries. There were over 200 papers presented in the framework of seven sections.
In 2019, about 300 scientists from different countries are expected to take part in the forum.
Participants will discuss advanced technology in nine key directions. These are novel materials and nanotechnology; ICT; energy and renewable sources of energy; ecology, environmental engineering and civil engineering; mechanical engineering, robotics, and automation; aerospace engineering; chemistry and biotechnology; high-energy physics; applied engineering and management.
Registration deadline for foreign participants is 1 June, for Russian participants – 30 June. Peer-reviewed conference proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore® Digital Library with further indexing in WOS/SCOPUS. Participation for students, PhD students and researchers from TPU is free.
