The first part of the ranking 100 Best Universities in Russia and the National University Rankings were published by RAEX-Analytics, Interfax Group and Echo of Moscow Radio Station correspondingly. According to the results of both rankings, Tomsk Polytechnic University confirmed its positions in the top 10 of Russian universities.
In the RAEX ranking, 100 Best Universities in Russia TPU is repeatedly the best non-capital university in Russia, ranking seventh.
The top 30 of the ranking is made up by 17 universities from Moscow and Moscow Oblast, 4 – from Saint-Petersburg, 2 – from Tomsk, 1 – from Novosibirsk, and 5 federal universities. The agency conducted a survey of over 50 thousand students from 158 HEd institutions of the country to find their opinion the strengths and weaknesses of Russian universities.
Interfax Group has released Nation University Rankings as well. Tomsk Polytechnic University kept the eighth place in the top 10 of Russian universities. TPU overall score is 786 (783 – in 2018).
Tomsk Polytechnic University advanced in the categories: Research – 6th instead of 7th, Internalization – 7th instead of 8th. In addition, TPU remained at the 7th place in the category Innovation.
This year experts evaluated the performance of 327 (288 – last year) leading Russian universities. The ranking includes all prestigious universities of the country: 29 national research universities, 10 federal, 30 basis ones, 21 universities of the 5-100 Project, as well as 7 private universities.
University activities were evaluated by six metrics: Education, Research, Socialization, Internalization, Innovation, and Brand.
