Winners of Open Doors International Olympiad Choose TPU Master Programs

This year, thirteen winners have chosen TPU. Four of them complete their undergraduate programs here. These are students from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, and China. Among the newcomers, there are representatives of Afghanistan, Haiti, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, and Pakistan. All of them received a free academic quota of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education to study in a Master program as well as  start their study at the preparatory department if necessary.

Irina Kokareva, head of the TPU International Students Office, says.

The applicants are particularly interested in a number of programs, such as Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Water Use, Electronics and Nanoelectronics, Heat and Power Engineering, and the English-language programs Materials Science and Materials Technology, and Nuclear Physics and Technologies. Seven applicants will start with the preparatory department and then continue as master students.

Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project was held online in two stages. There were a portfolio contest and tests. Bachelor or Specialist degree holders from all around the world, except Russia, could participate in the project.

The Olympiad is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent State affairs and International Humanitarian Cooperation. The project is organized by the Association of Global Universities.
