Bulletin of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Geo Assets Engineering Enters Second Quartile of Scopus Database in Economic Geology

According to the results of 2021, the Bulletin of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Geo Assets Engineering, a peer-reviewed journal has entered the second quartile of the Scopus database in Economic Geology. It became possible due to the increased citation rate of articles published in the journal.

The Bulletin of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Geo Assets Engineering is an academic journal published in Russian at Tomsk Polytechnic University since 1903. The journal releases original works, reviews, essays and debates covering the latest achievements in various thematic areas. It is exploration and extraction of minerals, transport technology and deep processing of minerals, energy-efficient manufacturing and energy transformation based on minerals, engineering geology of Eurasia and marginal seas, as well as safe disposal of geological resources.

Since 2016, the Bulletin of TPU has been indexed in Scopus, one of the most credible global databases of research publications. It gives the journal international recognition, meanwhile its authors obtain wide opportunities to cooperate with other researchers and additional citations of their articles.

“Entering the second quartile of one of the most respected global scientometrical databases is a result of hard work of the Bulletin team, which has formed and developed their professional expertise for a long time. The second quartile in the Scopus database is an indicator of high-class and relevant research works, which are published in our journal under the active participation of our university’s scientists,” 

notes Alexander Glazyrin, executive editor of the Bulletin of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Geo Assets Engineering.
