From April 19 to 24, Tomsk Polytechnic University jointly with ITMO University is holding the III International Scientific Conference “Sustainable and Efficient Use of Energy, Water and Natural Resources” in St Petersburg. Over 400 participants from all over the world signed up for the conference. They are discussing environmental protection systems, natural resource management and resource-efficient technologies.
Representatives of scientific and academic institutions, public authorities, industrial and business companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Morocco, Ukraine, Croatia, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Bolivia, China, France and many others are taking part in the conference. In total, participants from 21 countries will present a report.
This year, the conference is being held in a hybrid mode with an opportunity for remote or personal participation. The events, where speakers can demonstrate the result of the research work to the scientific community, are being held.
The conference includes eight topics. The reports of the participants cover the most important problems and achievements in Food Biotechnology for Human Health, Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, Clean Water, Environmental Protection Systems, Environmentally-Friendly Energy Conversion and Supply, Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency. The scientists and students are representing their works at the plenary and poster sessions.
Within the conference, on April 19 and 20, the Workshop “Methodology of Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving Management” is being held for the students and post-graduate students whose scientific activities are connected to this topic. It is a workshop aimed at obtaining new information required to meet modern challenges, expansion of contacts of young scientists, as well as coordination of research and sharing experience in sustainable and efficient use of energy, water and natural resources.
Simultaneously, on April 20, on the basis of the ITMO University School of Biotechnology and Cryogenic Systems, an annual general meeting and academic readings of the International Academy of Refrigeration are being held.
