“There is already an increase in applicants from the CIS countries. Compared to last year, the growth was 15%. Basically, these are citizens of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan,” he said.
Today, TPU has already enrolled 321 applicants from the CIS countries and 54 ones from far abroad (citizens of China, Egypt, Syria, Nigeria). The final enrollment number of paying applicants, considering the results of admission under the quota of the Ministry of Education and Science, will be known at the end of August.
“To what do we attribute such an increase? First, of course, with the stabilization of the epidemiological situation.
We have organized the work of visiting commissions in the CIS countries. From the experience of past years, we can say that personal communication is important for applicants, the opportunity to ask all their questions directly to a TPU employee.
Also, our “Polytechnic Olympiad” for school students from the CIS countries is traditionally successful. As for applicants from Russia, this year we also have a kind of record; we received representatives from 79 regions,” explained Alexander Denisevich.
