TPU admission campaign will start on March 1

Tomsk Polytechnic University has approved the procedure for the 2024 admission campaign. The University will begin accepting applications on March 1. This applies to all bachelor’s, graduate and postgraduate programs.

The application may be submitted in the same way as last year via the TPU Applicant website, by mail or in person (TPU Main Building, 30 Lenin Ave., room 131v, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday through Friday). For bachelor's and specialist applicants, it will also be possible to apply through Gosuslugi service, starting from June 20.

In 2024, Tomsk Polytechnic University will be enrolling 1,883 students for bachelor's and specialist programs (full-time) and 1,397 students for full-time master's degree programs on a state-funded basis.

Admission of applications for state-funded spots for bachelor's and specialist (full-time) programs will continue from March 1 to July 25 - for applicants who have the results of the Unified State Examination, and from March 1 to July 20 - for applicants who will be passing admission tests. For applicants to graduate programs (full-time): from March 1 to August 5.

Enrollment in full-time bachelor's and specialist programs will be conducted in two stages. During the first (priority) stage, students receiving aids and corporate financing will be enrolled, as well as Olympiad prize winners. During the second (main) stage, the remaining spots will be filled. For the master's programs, enrollment will also be conducted in two stages. The main stage - July 30, and the second stage (remaining state-funded spots) - August 9. Competitive admission lists will be posted on the website on July 27.

This year, Tomsk Polytechnic University expanded the list of possible personal achievements for applicants. Applicants will be awarded additional points for individual achievements such as having received the status of champion of Russia, the Cup of Russia, the medal "For special successes in studies"of I or II degree, serving in the military, being a member in volunteer forces, etc. The full list of individual achievements will be available on the website.

Changes will also affect the admission of students receiving corporate financing. Now, for "target" applicants, documents will be accepted through a unified digital platform in the field of employment and labor relations "Work in Russia". This will simplify the algorithm for concluding the contract between the financing company, the university and the applicant.

This year, the minimum threshold scores for admission to TPU have changed for full-time (state-financed) bachelor's and specialist programs. In particular, for major subjects: math, physics, chemistry and biology, the threshold score is 39 points, for Russian language - 40 points, for computer science - 44 points.

More information can be found on the TPU Applicant website and TPU's official group for applicants.
