TPU scientists create membranes for chemical industry and biomedicine from PEKK 3D-printing waste
Scientists from Tomsk Polytechnic University, in collaboration with their colleagues, have proposed a method for recycling FDM printing waste from structural plastic (polyetherketoneketone, PEKK – ed.). They fabricated membrane samples by electrospinning. The fabricated membranes are highly chemically stable and biocompatible and can potentially find applications in the chemical industry and filtration technologies, as well as in biomedicine.
