World Youth Festival 2024

The Festival program is structured around a set of universal values. We invite youth from all over the world to reflect on these values together and exchange ideas on how to build a future world that is comfortable for everybody. It includes not only discussions and lectures but also an exhibition program, cultural exchange, sports competitions and group workouts, volunteering activities, and group trips.

The Festival is inspired by the traditions of youth and student festivals, which were organized several times in our country - in 1957 and 1985, bringing together tens of thousands of participants from all over the world. In its contemporary history, Russia hosted the festival in 2017.

The World Youth Festival will be attended by 20,000 young leaders in such fields as business, media, education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering and charity, sports, and others, including 10,000 foreign participants. For the first time in the history of the festival movement, teenagers from 14 to 17 years old will have the opportunity to join the event, including 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad.

5,000 volunteers from all regions of Russia will be involved in organizing the Festival.

The main program of the Festival for all participants will be held on the Sirius Federal Territory from March 1 to March 7, 2024.

The regional program  will be held from March 10 to March 17, 2024, with foreign participants visiting 30 Russian cities.

Primary focus areas of the WYF 2024. IT, science, media, tourism, environmental science, entrepreneurship, volunteering, sports, culture, politics, education, healthcare, urban planning, agriculture, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), working youth, diplomacy, and engineering.

WYF objectives: 

Our main goal is to create long-term relationships between active young people from
all over the world who will have to build a common future together - a just, multipolar world based on cooperation and the search for a balance of interests.

During various team activities, young people will connect, communicate, seek common
ground, and learn to interact with each other.

The Festival also seeks to introduce Russian and international youth to the vast range
of opportunities our country has to offer.

We will be sharing the finest aspects of Russian values and culture and, at the same time, learning about the interests and aspirations of the youth from other countries.

Registration of participants:

Registration for both international and Russian youth is taking place on the official WYF 2024. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35, as well as teenagers aged 14 to 17, regardless of their country of residence, can apply.

Foreign participants can submit their applications until December 1, while registration for 
Russian participants will be open until November 4, 2023.
