TPU Alumnus Appointed as RUSSNEFT Vice-President for Perspective Projects and Services

The Board of Directors of the Russneft company has appointed David Avalishvili as Vice-President for Perspective Projects and Services.

David Avalishvili was born in August 1974 in Petrozavodsk. In 1996, he graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University, specialized in Management and in 1998 graduated from TPU as Oil and Gas Fields Development Engineer. Before Russneft he worked at Vostochnaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya, Vostokgazprom, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and Slavneft. In Russneft he served as Deputy Director of the Oil Sales Department, Deputy Director – Head of the Domestic Oil Supplies Department, Director of the Oil Supplies Department, Director of the Oil and Gas Supplies Department and Vice-President for Commerce.

According to the company, Russneft is the sixth oil company by crude oil production in Russia. The company has a balanced portfolio of assets in Russian in key oil and gas regions (Western Siberia, the Volga-Ural region and Central Siberia) and in Azerbaijan. The volume of 2P-reserves of the company exceeds 200 million tons (SPE). By the end of 2015 oil production amounted to 7.9 million tons.
