Health Days start at TPU

TPU students will be able to measure their level of stress, to learn how to make anti stress pillows and methods to combat depression at TPU Health Days 2017. The event starts on 7 April, the World Health Day, at the University Library (53a, Belinsky Str.)

The Health Days are traditionally organized by the TPU Center for Social Activity. This year, the main focus is the fight against stress and depression and providing information on the danger of such phenomena. The Health Days start on 7 April 2017, 12 a.m. at the TPU Library. The entrance is free. Express tests, educational and preventive master classes are scheduled.

Specialists from the Health Center of the Tomsk Regional Clinical Hospital will conduct screening tests to identify the level of psychological health of students. Upon the test results everyone will get recommendations and individual consultations if necessary.

In addition, an interactive program will include Hunting for Mood, Fairy Tale Therapy, Facial Gymnastics and Sleep-Action with Anti Stress Pillows.

“In the library students can participate in an interactive platform with a few focus rooms to learn how to combat stress. Librarians will talk on special collected books and databases with recommendations and tips how to keep a good mood,” tells Lyudmila Vlasova, head of the Marketing Office of the TPU Library.

Students will draw their mood on hands, do some facial exercises in order to identify their level of stress and play in a puppet theater. The opening of the Health Days will be finished with a master class where everyone present will get a chance to design cushions-sachets filled with aromatic herbs according to their Zodiac signs.

All festive events are scheduled on 7 April 2017 from 12 till 14 p.m. Prior registration is not required.
